Our experienced trainers and courteous, attentive staff are dedicated to providing
exceptional dog training and support.
Dogs have been a part of my life since the day I was born, and they’ve always been a true passion of mine. Growing up, I had the unique opportunity to watch our local K9 unit train right inside my family’s business warehouse. Seeing those incredible dogs in action is what first sparked my interest in dog training.
I began my professional journey with the Denver Sit Means Sit location in 2006 and proudly opened the South Denver branch in 2009.
Over the years, I’ve competed in a variety of dog sports with my own dogs, including at both National and World Championship levels in Dock Dogs.
What I love most is the bond and experiences I’ve shared with my dogs, and it’s my mission to help every client experience that same joy. I understand the life-changing impact of having a well-trained dog, and I’m passionate about helping others enjoy the many rewards that come with it.
Hi, I’m Tami! I’ve been a proud part of South Denver Sit Means Sit since 2012. When I’m not at work, I love adventuring with my husband, our two kids, and our dogs, Mia and Shadow. If you’ve ever called us, chances are I’m the voice you’ve heard on the other end!
My goal is to make your experience with us as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I’m here to help connect you with the right trainer so you and your furry family members can have just as much fun together as we do with ours.
I’ve loved and owned dogs my entire life. In 2009, while living in Highlands Ranch, I became a client of Sit Means Sit. At the time, my Golden Retriever, Bentley, had a very high prey drive—he was even jumping our back fence to chase coyotes. Realizing how dangerous this behavior was, I knew I needed professional help.
That’s when I met Jon. After seeing a demonstration of what Sit Means Sit could do for Bentley and me, I was immediately impressed—and hooked. I dove headfirst into the training, taking full advantage of everything the program had to offer.
The impact that training had on both Bentley and me was so profound that I decided to become a trainer myself. Today, I’m proud to share my personal journey with our clients and, more importantly, help them reach their own training goals.
I grew up in a home surrounded by a variety of dog breeds—from German Shepherds and Doberman Pinschers to Chihuahuas—giving me a deep appreciation for canine behavior and body language from an early age. In my early twenties, I rescued my first dog and quickly discovered a passion for rehabilitation and rescue work.
While serving as a General Manager at a busy pizza shop, I developed strong leadership and communication skills—qualities that have proven invaluable in my dog training career. In 2020, I took the leap into professional dog training, gaining hands-on experience at boarding facilities and training companies, where I was exposed to a wide range of techniques, including protection training.
Not long after, I adopted Remi, who I successfully trained to be both my trusted companion and service dog. In 2023, I joined the Sit Means Sit team at the South Denver location. There, I had the opportunity to rescue Geissele, a female Malinois, and further deepen my knowledge and expertise.
Today, I continue to grow as a trainer, fueled by my commitment to helping dogs and their owners build lasting, confident relationships.
